System Review Follow-Up: Gender in Agriculture

Paper prepared by the Center Directors Committee at the request of the CGIAR Consultative Council on Recommendation 9 of the third System Review, concerning gender research, together with a TAC commentary. The CDC did not support the review recommendation for creation of a new network on women in agriculture, believing that the combination of the CGIAR Systemwide Program on Participatory Research and Gender Analysis, and the CGIAR Gender and Diversity Program provided a comprehensive platform to address gender staffing and research issues.TAC considered that the systemwide program cited could be developed to meet the requirements identified by the review.
