Abstract/Description
Potatoes and sweetpotatoes are relatively climate-hardy and rapidly-growing crops. Crop breeders are using next-generation technologies to develop climate-smart varieties that mature quickly, resist many pests and diseases, and tolerate heat, drought or saline to provide more nutritious food and better incomes in extreme climates.
